In spite of her tender age Elina Buksha astonishes with apower without a hint of childish emotions. Her interpretations are deep and her sound is round and impassioned. She performs with dramatic expressiveness and inner freedom. This delicate young girl is a brilliant violinist whose talent bears an inimitable individuality.
Elina was born in 1990 in Aizkraukle (Latvia). She plays violin since she was 5 years old. Now she is a student of the Jūrmala Secondary music school in the class of Ojārs Kalninš. The violinist has won several national and international junior competitions, including the Talent for Latvia twice (1st prize in both), the Competition of the Republic twice (1st and 2nd prizes), Gradus ad Parnassum (Lithuania, 1st prize) and the Jaroslav Kocian Competition (Czech Republic, 2nd prize).
