Maurice Lennon: Fiddle is a name recognized by many people in the now vast world that is Irish Music. Maurice began playing traditional music at the age of 13. At the age of 17 he won the Senior All Ireland Fiddle Championship, The 1980’s were to prove an exciting time for Maurice, he was a co-founder of 'Stockton's Wing', who went on to attain almost super-group status, in addition to which he had the great pleasure of sharing the same stage with a host of world renowned artists including, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Sammy Davis Jr., Stephan Grapelli, Michael Jackson, as well as performing and appearing in the superb Irish film, "The Field His latest masterpiece is the wonderful musical story of Brian Barou the high king of Ireland, which Maurice wrote and co-produced with Donal Lunny

Alan Burke: Vocals, Guitar Bodhran started his singing career fronting the Irish band Afterhours with whom he released three recordings, all of which were widely received and toured. On the demise of that group Alan began a new venture with the release of his first solo CD “On the Other Hand” 1998. Followed in 2000 by his second solo recording “Tip of the Tongue”. His voice is “Full of power, sensitivity and clarity”. His guitar playing is characterized by strong driving.
In 2002 Alan was involved the making of a CD for the company BMG of library recordings alongside fellow traditional musicians, Cathal Hayden, Maurice Lennon, Jim McGrath, Gerry O’Donnell, James Blennerhasset and many others. 2004 brought two new recordings. ”The Eagles Whistle” with friend, uilleann piper Joe McHugh under the guise of the band “Airla”. This was followed by Alan’s production and co-recording of the CD “Ar Mhuin Na Muice” with Donegal singer, Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin Alan’s is at present a member of the highly successful band “At First Light”

 

Joe McHugh: Uilleann Pipes, Whistles Joe McHugh is originally from Derry N.Ireland. In 1977 he won at the age of twenty years the coveted All Ireland Uilleann Piping competition. Since then he has toured extensively worldwide. In 1990 he lead a group of traditional Irish musicians for a tour of Russia and Uzbekistan, which was featured in the BBC-RTE documentary „The Soviet Session“. This resulted in a musical partnership with Barry Carroll and the release to critical acclaim of THE LONG FINGER album. Described by Folk Roots as “one of the best recordings of Irish Instrumental music”

In recent years he has recorded and toured with Shirley Grimes and the Insiders, Andreas Vollenweider, Göla, Antonio Breschi and the Nomadic piano ensemble, Martin O’Connor, Afterhours, Alan Burke, Ronnie Drew of the Dubliners, Gilbert Paeffgen and Slua Nua,

 

Wolfgang Zwiauer: Bass

Wolfgang Zwiauer the title of Der kompletteste E-Bassist der Schweiz (the most all-round bass player in Switzerland) from the Swiss newspaper "Der Bund". He is the most sought-after bass player around. He has appeared on no less than 30 CDs and performed live with the likes of David Gilmore, George Gruntz, Andy Scherrer, Jojo Mayer, Harald Härter, Roberto Gatto, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Matthieu Michel, Hans Feigenwinter, Swiss Jazz Orchestra and Candy Dulfer but to name a few. He has also worked as co-producer on projects with singer/songwriter Shirley Grimes, Asita Hamidi and the legendary Fab Four.
