Hugh Masekela (awarded with two Grammies and WOMEX 2011) is Africa´s most important jazz and world musician. He has been on TV worldwide several times in the last two years and highlighted a number of international festivals. All concerts in 2010 were great events (e.g. at Carnegie Hall or the Royal Festival Hall). Hugh Masekela started this year as a special guest of U2 in South Africa and toured the USA in June where he performed with Wynton Marsalis at the Hollywood Bowl. He came to Europe with his new project called "Hugh Masekela´s Celebrate Mama Afrika" - a wonderful show with Lira, Thandiswa and Vusi Mahlasela as special guests.
