Latvian-Austrian conductor, Ilmārs Lapiņš, maintains an active career as principal and guest conductor of various orchestras in Russia, all Balkan States, European and Asian countries. He currently serves as the Chief Conductor of the most distinguished Siberian Symphony Orchestra – the Irkutsk Governor’s Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he has held since 2009. The prominent violinist Dora Schwarcberg and the rising star of the Latvian National opera Liene Kinča will perform with the orchestra in Jurmala.
